Xu Bing Installation

Front view of lightbox

A couple weeks ago when I visited the other interns in London I had a chance to visit a Xu Bing installation at the British Museum. From the front of the light box you see what looks like a traditional Chinease scroll painting, but when you walk around to the back of the work you see this!

He has created this work using dried plants, crumbled papers, hemp and other materials sourced in London. Go here to see a video of the construction of the piece!
